Day 10 of 30-Day Leaf Art Journaling: Kaniar (Bauhinia purpurea)

zentangle leaf art journaling

Today, I somehow managed to finish this leaf art as we were out for most part of the day. It wasn’t easy keeping the momentum going because I had so little time and was exhausted by the time I started working on this. That’s one of the reasons I chose to do zentangle today because it calms me down and lets me focus. Other reason why I chose zentangle is due to Pari’s request. Yes, she insisted for it as she’s really liked my zentangle leaves compared to other leaf art that I’ve done, which did not involve zentangling.

So, today’s leaves are inspired by the Kaniar leaves and their beautiful shape. Kaniar is botanically called Bauhinia purpurea.

But folks, I’m sorry that I’ll not be able to write about the specifics of the tree and the leaves today. It’s past end of the day and I need to catch on sleep badly…. 🙁 I’ll try to come back to this post to update with the tree and leaf information. Will send out a note to you when I do that. For now, this is it. And, if you’d like to look at a closer view of the zentangle leaves, here’s another pic.
